The Majestic Dead-End
Is an endless ongoing project started from 2014.
The mystery that comes with deserted and abandoned areas, haunted sites is enticing, whether you find it dreamy or unsettling. When their purpose has passed out, beautiful artefacts to history and imagination are frequently abandoned to their own courses. Perhaps it's a realisation that our grandeur is ephemeral, and that a day our flows will drain away, leaving just the traces of our presence. It captures the spirit of everything that is and will be, resulting in some artwork. This artwork brings up images of a long journey to a faraway location.
This piece is part of a series that aims to offer the spectator with both the nameless and the unsure. They represent a land and its environs at the furthest ends of our own with a world that is familiar, while foreign and incomprehensible.
